Mermaid Squad brings your ocean dreams to life with a fun mermaid dress‑up experience followed by a professional beach photoshoot at the beautiful Tynemouth Longsands — one of the North East’s most loved family beaches.
Every mermaid adventure includes 100–200 digital photos, all captured during your session, plus one special art‑retouched image in our magical Mermaid Squad style (just like the ones in our gallery). Extra artwork can be added for a small fee.
We’re thrilled to be returning to stunning Tynemouth Longsands Beach in North Tyneside. With its golden sand, gentle waves and Environment Agency 3‑Star Excellent water quality rating, it’s the perfect place for children to play, explore and transform into shimmering mermaids.
Bookings for the 2026 Mermaid Squad season are now open, running from May through to October — and sometimes earlier if the sunshine decides to join us.

Amazing photo shoot! So happy with the photos! The girls had great fun as mermaids on the rocks! The photographer had everything for transformation, from the fabulous costumes, to unique one of a kind crowns and jewellery. I thoroughly recommend the Mermaid Squad experience!
